Conducting 指揮

Wong is an active aspiring composer, conductor, and performer. With works being selected to renowned festivals such as June in Buffalo and the Valencia International Performance Academy & Festival (VIPA festival), and performed locally and internationally in China, the United States, Sweden, Spain etc., he is currently a master student studying composition under Prof. Kai-young Chan at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Wong is keen on conducting contemporary repertoire, and the interaction with other living composers that it fosters. He is now the Assistant Conductor at the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, and he conducts on campus the Chung Chi Student Orchestra, the Chung Chi Student Chinese Orchestra, and various ensembles to premiere student colleagues’ works. Apart from composing and conducting, he is also an avid huqin musician and organist who explores the sonic palette of the instruments. With his multiple identities in music-making, Wong aspires to lead contemporary ensemble in his future career.

黃正彥活躍於作曲、指揮和演奏。現為香港中文大學碩士研究生,隨陳啟揚教授專修作曲,各類器樂作品曾在國內外,包括中、美、瑞典、西班牙等地演出。他亦曾參與知名音樂節如June in Buffalo(美國)和VIPA(西班牙)。

黃氏熱衷於指揮,尤其於現代曲目,他享受與其他作曲家交流的過程。他現於香港創樂團擔任助理指揮、於崇基學生中樂團及崇基學生管弦樂團任學生指揮,以及指揮大小現代音樂作品的首演。此外,黃氏演奏胡琴及管風琴。他勇於探索樂器的不同聲音可能性。未來,黃氏希望利用他多元的身分繼續帶領現代音樂的團體。
